In Partnership with NASW-NV

NASWND Chapter 0 419

Date: Wednesday, May 8th 2024

Time: 12 pm CT.

Location: Zoom

Presentation Length: 1 hour

Description: Social work is an interdisciplinary profession, yet we're nowhere close to milking our skills for all we're worth. It is my conviction that there is no table at which social workers don't belong -- so what's holding us back? In this talk I discuss the main factors that explain why social work hasn't reached its full potential and I give strategies for how to take it to the next level.

Presenter: Jacob Kendall, MSW, MPH, PhD

Dr. Kendall is so macro, there should be a level above macro. With training in social work, biology, public health, gerontology, and theology, and having pivoted from academia to entrepreneurship, Jacob's vision is to see more social workers become leaders in all industries – especially healthcare, as he is 2-0 versus open heart surgeries wants to bring change to healthcare. Through his business The Versatile Social Worker he helps social workers become macro leaders.
