Description: This NASW-NV event will equip you with the knowledge necessary to understand better medical aid in dying and the appropriate resources to better address your patients’ concerns. Access to medical aid in dying (MAID) has significantly expanded as more states have adopted laws authorizing the medical practice, and two states have stopped requiring that patients who seek MAID reside in their state. As a result, more terminally ill individuals may approach their healthcare teams to learn more about this end-of-life option. In our time together, we will equip you with the knowledge necessary to understand better medical aid in dying and the appropriate resources to better address your patients’ concerns.
