Description: This workshop will provide an overview of changes to DSM-5-TR. The presenter will discuss the one new diagnosis, prolong grief disorder, discuss diagnostic changes to existing DSM-5 diagnoses, discuss the addition of coding for suicidal thoughts and behaviors, and nonsuicidal self-injury, and address the update in conceptualization and language around gender identity in the diagnosis of gender dysphoria, and changes to racial and cultural factors that contribute to diagnosis.
